Privacy Policy

Effective date: 29 June 2026 · Applies to the GEMBA RECORDS Radio app and the GEMBA RECORDS website.

GEMBA RECORDS Radio is a simple internet-radio app. It streams three live stations and shows what is currently playing. We have deliberately built it to be private by default: there are no user accounts, we collect no personal data, we show no ads, and we use no third-party tracking or analytics. This policy explains exactly what the app and website do and do not do with information.

Who we are

GEMBA RECORDS is an independent music label and 24/7 internet radio, created by GembaIT. The GEMBA RECORDS Radio Android app is a thin wrapper (a Trusted Web Activity / progressive web app) around our radio website at radio.gembarecords.com. The app and the website behave the same way with respect to privacy.

Information we collect

None that identifies you. The app and website have no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. We do not ask for, and we do not collect, your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, files, or any other personal information. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising identifiers, fingerprinting, or analytics SDKs.

What the app actually does

• Streams audio. When you press play, your device requests the live audio stream for the station you chose and plays it. This is an ordinary media request, like opening any web page.
• Reads public now-playing metadata. The app fetches the publicly available "now playing" information (current track title, artist and artwork, recent history, schedule) so it can show you what is on. This metadata is public and contains nothing about you.
• Local-only caching (PWA). As a progressive web app, a small amount of the interface (icons, layout, fonts) may be cached on your own device so the app loads quickly and reliably. This cache lives only on your device, is never sent anywhere, and live audio and metadata are deliberately never cached.
• Media controls. The app may use your device's standard media-session controls (lock-screen play/pause, volume). This stays on your device.

Standard technical logs

Like any website, our servers automatically receive ordinary technical request data (such as an IP address and the type of browser/app making a request) for the brief moment needed to deliver the stream and keep the service secure and running. We do not use this data to build profiles, do not link it to any identity (there is none), do not sell it, and do not use it for advertising. Streaming infrastructure may keep short-lived operational logs purely for reliability and abuse-prevention.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal data — because we do not collect any. There are no advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party analytics services embedded in the app or site. Audio is delivered through standard content-delivery infrastructure solely to bring the stream to your device.

Children's privacy

GEMBA RECORDS Radio is a music-streaming service suitable for a general audience. Because it collects no personal data and has no accounts, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. There is nothing for a child (or anyone) to disclose to us.

Permissions

The app requires only an internet connection to stream audio. It does not request access to your location, microphone, camera, contacts, files, or other sensitive device features.

Security

All connections to our website and streams use encrypted HTTPS. Because we hold no accounts and store no personal data about listeners, there is no personal database that could be exposed.

Your choices

You can stop all data flow at any time by closing the app or stopping playback. To remove the app's local cache, simply uninstall the app (or clear the site data in your browser). There is no account to delete because none is ever created.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect in the app.
